He said the cost for the coats this year was $2,995.00 from the treasury balance earmarked for Coats for Kids off $4,442.90. Upon discussion, a motion was duly made and seconded to modify the donation amount from $200 to $250.

The Grand Knight took up the initial motion of a donation to Catholic Charities first. This motion carried and it was passed to donate $200 to Catholic Charities.

With this order of business being concluded, the modification to the motion to increase the amount from $200 to $250 to Catholic Charities was put to the Council for a vote. The modified motion to increase the amount to $250 failed and was not authorized.

Following Greg Miller, Chad Eickholt stood and was recognized. Chad said he was not coming to the Council seeking a donation, but he wanted to make the Council aware of a worthwhile charitable event being participated in by two Holy Spirit Parishioners, each with a child having Down Syndrome. He said the event was being hosted at Arrowhead Stadium October 26, 2019. The two Holy Spirit families participating were the Conrad and Rose families forming the Sole Sisters Team.
