Brother Triola emphasized the importance of recruiting to the Council. He suggested more men would join the Knights if they appreciated all the good work and deeds Knights did. In an effort to capitalize on the Knights good works and deeds for recruitment, Brother Triola asked members to wear the Knights brand whenever they did anything. To facilitate the wearing of the Knights’ brand Brother Triola said he was taking orders for t-shirts, hats, etc. to place with Supreme. Also, he said the State Council was seeking advertisement, Statewide, for next year’s event.

Finally, he addressed the question what impact the new Regalia requirement was having on the 4th Degree Honor Guard turnout. He talked openly about it and in his concluding remark indicated he thought it was having a negative impact because the purpose of changing was an attempt to get younger Knights to become Honor Guard members. Instead he said, the State of Kansas has not seen this result and the older members are choosing to retire from the Honor Guard verses buying the new Regalia uniforms.
