Lector’s Report

Michael McCray presentation was on “Two ‘mystifying’ remarks Christ made during his Passion and death on the cross.” This is based on a presentation by Mike Scherschligt, School of Faith.

“Father, let this cup pass from me, but not my will but Thine be done.” Jesus shows that we have a choice what to do with our sufferings.

From Psalm 22, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” Later in Psalm 22 we hear of a man who is assured of his efficacious suffering.

Michael Scherschligt puts it in perspective by saying, “What you do not choose, do not like, cannot change, accept with trust and offer it with love to God for the suffering in the world.

Michael McCray’s complete presentation is sent out monthly on email and is posted on our website.
